Bartlebee and Oliver Commission Info

 Bartlebee is an ageless demon who appears around 23. He is a demon of gluttony and avarice, he collects gold and jewelry and fancy, tasteful suits with cravats and ruffles. He wears golden rings on his ears and fingers and eats human flesh. Some portraits of him have stithces, please do NOT draw him with stitches! This was an older design when he was just a monster, and not a demon. He is the boogeyman and Beezelbub, the 2nd to fall from heaven and vice captain of Hells armies.  In London in 1300’s he returns to earth to go on a huge feast of human souls that became the Black Plague. In an orphanage being quarantined during his feasting he came across a boy everyone believed to be dead. Oliver was saved by Bartlebee, who kept one tiny sliver of his immortal soul sacred from The Fall and gave it to Oliver in order to save his life. Bartlebee can see Oliver’s past and future, read his mind, influence his actions and desires. He is entirely in love in the most innocent and pure sense of the word, and Oliver is too. He never looked at Bartlebee as a father, he calls him Mr. Bee and knows him more as a teacher or mentor. Oliver is 12 years old with sandy blond hair, dark brown eyes and petite physique. He has very rounded hips and butt, and bony hands he uses for painting. His face is full and round, with a small beauty mark on his left cheek beneath his eye. He often blushes, but is not a subordinate and silent uke type. Oliver is very demanding, intelligent, articulate, imaginative and forward. He is blunt about observations, offending lots of shy ladies and proper men and women. His fashions run from Bartlebee, but he peacocks much less. he does not wear any jewelry or cravats. He enjoys colors, while Bartlebee is known for dressing in snappy black suits. He does dress lolita and secretly loves lingerie. He sometimes wears a womans corset tightly beneath his normal clothes. Bartlebee is shockingly unprotective of Oliver. He lets the boy get into trouble and get hurt, but offers him a loving hand when he returns home. Bartlebee is rare to offer advice or life lessons, instead choosing to live as an example and teach through doing. To Oliver, mostly.

They share a very small, three story mansion in the country side of Richmond outside of London. Its a modern gothic looking mansion with an iron gate fence around the entire 5 acre property. In the front there is a fountain of three angels pouring jugs of water into a basin, when you look closely you can tell that they are crying. The front garden is filled with rose bushes and tall grass on the sides of the brick walkway, giving a very unkempt appearance. The front door is a bright, shocking red with skinny stained glass windows on either side. The front door opens to the Parlor, where Bartlebee has a huge oil painting that Oliver did over hanging a roaring fireplace despite the time of year or weather. Bartlebee does not experience temperature. There is a bar and lounge chairs in the parlor, which is large and has two openings on either side to the rest of the house. Behind the parlor is the Dining hall, which has a patio open to the garden in the backyard. The 2nd floor is mostly guest rooms, and Oliver’s studio where he paints. The 3rd floor is Bartlebee and Olivers separate bedrooms. Oliver spends some nights with Bartlebee, but enjoys having his own room. Despite his codependent relationship with Bartlebee and Bartlebee’s obsession with Oliver, they are independent. Bartlebee still is a demon and leaves to feast on souls and corrupt the just, rule over the 3rd level of Hell where the Gluttonous are tortured and make contracts with worshipers and cultists around the world as different Gods and spirits. While he is away, Oliver is self sufficient since he was orphaned long before Bartlebee came to him. The house has no servants, maids or employ. Its is a very dirty home, that miraculously will become clean at the wave of Bartlebee’s hand.

Oliver does not know what Bartlebee is, His first thought was that he was an angel sent from God. Bartlebee saved his life from the brink of death in a single night, and is ethereal and beautiful and androgynous looking. Oliver then thought he was a witch or wizard of some sort, and likes that answer. But after they begin to have sex and Oliver grows older he see’s the darker side of Bartlebee that he tried to remain hidden, and does not know if he is a demon, angel, ghost or some sort of monster. Oliver has never been frightened, wondrous and in awe but never frightened. Bartlebee loves Oliver and has fused their souls together, and in some way Oliver feels this. Although nothing was or has or ever will be explicitly explained.

As Oliver grows older and eventually dies,Bartlebee must choose to devour Oliver’s soul and cut  himself in half and give birth to a new Oliver that is a demonic spirit or allowing his innocent soul to go to Heaven.
